Maxton's National Night Out — the nationwide community-and-police awareness evening. Free food, a live DJ, giveaways, and free entry for everyone. Families out on the grass, and a chance for residents and officers to meet each other somewhere other than a call.

National Night Out was free to everyone who came because these businesses, churches, families and organisations covered it. If you are a Maxton resident, they are worth remembering.
